The Snowmass Balloon Festival fills the sky with one of the highest-altitude balloon events in the country. Over three days, 30 pilots compete in such challenging competitions as Dawn Quixote and a distance race that covers the whole Roaring Fork Valley. The highlight is the Saturday Evening Glow, barbecue, and free concert where brightly colored balloons light up the night sky and twinkle on and off like stars.
